Quite good

The sounds you chose are very good and work well in combination. The only exception is that clap. It sounds too dirty compared to the other instruments. That kick drum is great. It really cuts through the mix. Overall the song is quite good, and has a lovely chilled vibe, but you need to watch the compression, especially with the fade-out. It's not transparent enough and is sucking the dynamics out of that bit.

Tight.

Love them squelchy square waves. What's your main weapon of choice that you use for your bass tracks? Mine's Massive with Kombinat.

It also sounds very well mixed. Nice spectral balance. I wish I had my nearfields hooked up so I could listen to this properly. From what I can gather though, it sounds VERY well mixed with a nice frequency balance. Quite impressive.

Nostalgic, brilliant

You chose a very predictable track to remix, but it's a good one, and a classic, so nice work. I'm more of a fan of the Jazz 2 version but I still like the original.

I probably would have added a bit more emphasis on the baseline and probably a breaks section around the 2 minute mark. Just a question, are you using Sytrus for this? If so, you should probably tinker with the sounds a little more.

Despite my criticism, this is a great trip down memory lane. Jazz Jackrabbit remains as my biggest source of inspiration.

Brilliant.

I'm very impressed. I tend to hate 98% of Happy Hardcore, but I'm really getting into this.

It's excellently put together, well mastered and shows a good amount of skill. My only gripe is the "Get Down" sample. I think it would've worked better without it.

If I worked faster when I made music, I'd be more than thrilled to do a reprise of this.

9.5/10

You = Loads of suck

You are so whistleblown right now.

Enjoyable

I think the original is one of the greatest songs ever, so I'm gonna be lenient.

I think there WAS a bit too much salt. The comment about the reverb is very true, but I guess it works kinda well without ruining the song too much. It would just be very unsuitable to play in a large space.

The kick drum needs to be emphasised a bit more, and maybe the melodic synth lines to be introduced a bit earlier, because that's when it starts to really make me smile and my head swing from side to side.

So yeah, overall, not a bad effort, but there are things that need to be sussed out.

I make music, music which I hope you enjoy. I'm open to requests, but I can't promise anything. I like people to get the most out of my music, so please vote accordingly on the tracks you like and I'll be inspired to make more similar stuff.
